I have been making things out of clay for as long as I can remember. Growing up in my mom's pottery studio, I learned at an early age how to manipulate the clay into whatever I wanted such as pizzas, snowmen, birds and many other forms. After patient instruction from my mom, around age five I was able to make discernable items and began selling my work at my mom's craft shows. Art continued to be a very important part of my life throughout my busy high school career. I entered many shows & exhibitions, won awards, and joined Carolina Clay Matters, the Charlotte area clay guild. When I was accepted to UNC Chapel Hill, I knew I was going to major in art. Study abroad in Florence, Italy my senior year of college gave my art a profound new dimension. I also had a passion for archaeology and ended up graduating with a BFA in art concentrating in clay sculpture and a second major in anthropology concentrating in archaeology.

Currently I live in Durham, NC with my cats, Indigo & Neko.
